Use Founder Free for white line disease, laminitis, founder, thrush, skin infections. Directions for Use: For a non-foundering horse or pony -- Once a week, spread a line of Founder Free on the white line of your horse’s cleaned hoof. Use your finger and gently rub in the Founder Free. The white line will be slightly damp. There is no need to wrap the hoof. If your horse is shod, squirt the Founder Free between the shoe and the hoof, using a toothpick or Q-tip applicator to move the Founder Free under the shoe. The Founder Free will be absorbed by the white line even with the shoe on. Founder Free is most effective when used on the white line immediately after the hoof is trimmed. For an active or chronic case of founder or white line disease – Call your veterinarian and immediately remove your horse from the suspected source of the founder or disease. Apply Founder Free to the white line and frog of the hoof as soon as possible.

We STRONGLY recommend wrapping the horse’s hooves after applying Founder Free for the first time. [See directions below for the type of wrap or boot that should be used.] Keep the boot or wrap on for 3 - 5 days, keeping in mind that the hoof shouldn't be allowed to become too moist or soft. Remove the boot and apply Founder Free on the white line. Repeat daily until you see improvement. Many horses show great improvement in as little as 10 - 15 days. Although your horse or pony may seem fully recovered from the bout of founder, do not re-expose your equine to the suspected source of the original founder, white line disease, or laminitis. Founder Free may be used with equine medicines and in conjunction with the practices and recommendations of your veterinarian or farrier. For fungal infections, thrush, skin infections – Apply directly on the infection site. Gently smooth. Founder Free is gentle enough for contact with equine and human skin. The safety, health, comfort, and well-being of your horse is our first priority. Founder Free may be used by itself or with other practices. Talk to your veterinarian or farrier as to the best options for your horse or pony. Although Founder Free has worked miracles on some horses, there is no certainty that all horses and ponies will achieve the same level of success. Individual results may vary. Instructions for boots and wraps: If you don't have an existing boot, you can create one by placing a telfa pad or padding on the bottom of the hoof (after application of Founder Free), securing that with vet wrap (but not too tightly), and placing strips of duct tape around the vet wrap making sure that the duct tape is only attached to the vet wrap and not to the hoof or skin.

There is also now a new, inexpensive alternative. Hoof Wraps are easy, temporary boots for horses that can be used with Founder Free.
